Carole wrote me back and said they have a prototype side check that
attaches to the BB that they will send to me to try out if I can
figure out how to attach it. I told her I will give it a good field
test and take lots of pictures. Sounds like a plan to me! I'll keep
the group posted. ( My poor ponies are dry-lotted due to a nearly
fatal founder that wound the Shetland up in a local rescue shelter
before I found him on Petfinder; thus. they feel seriously
grass-deprived. I refuse to tackle that issue with a tug-o-war with a
chain under their chins).

Good for you!
You are welcome,

My check rein is attached right between the ears (at the poll) so the
Harness maker made it so has two opennings to pass the crown pieces
through separate slots, this keeps it secure. I undo two staps to pass
them through. It is quite a pain, that why I am keeping it for my
driving rig, and not using it as a rding bridle. But should I need it
it comes right off. Just have to be carefull, when adding it, you
don't get your straps messed up. Allot of people do, on thier regular
bridles just by taking
the noseband off, evey time. I never undo the noseband. Just slip it
off the head.
Let us know how you make out!
