Modified Birdy project - now complete at last!   Message List

Hello,

I have updated the photos of my modified Birdy in the photos section of the
user area. They are in the album 'McLaren Birdy'
I have now completed the stem modification and this is shown. If anyone is
interested in any details, let me know!

A brief rundown of mods include:

I now intend to much more riding than tinkering and will give it a good test
ride around Brittany in a few weeks!

I believe around 200g buty didn't look too pretty! I acid etched my frame to save approx 100g and painted using only 1 coat so I expect the weight is similar...

So Neil, if it's not intrusive to ask, have you done a cost/weight analysis on your modifications? E.g., dollars cost per pound of reduced weight of Birdy...
