Re: [birdybike] in which trailer does the birdy fit?

Dear Leo

Makes me think you could rig up some home-made contraption to have Birdy
unfolded, riding on its own wheels, and attached to the back of the bike
you're riding. You would tow Birdy and Birdy would be its own trailer. It
would have to be something rigid, maybe a "Y" bar attached to the two sides
of Birdy handlebars and going to the seat post of the Bike you are riding.
Or, if this didn't track, you'd have to get Birdy's front wheel off the
ground a bit.... If you were doing this on a regular basis it might be nice
not to have to ferry the trailer itself back and forth, and using Birdy
itself without the trailer would be much more "elegant" (unless you'd need
the trailer to carry your guest's luggage). The contraption attaching the
two bikes would itself fold (of course ;) ) and not have to be very sturdy
(unless this whole bit is giving you the idea of creating a "tandem" where
you and your friend would each ride back tethered together -- they do have
such things for kids bikes (the front wheel of the kids bike gets removed
to use such a device)).

Cheers,

Bob
