The third annual "Not Quite Duluth Classic" time trial and road race
will take place Saturday evening June 29th at Oliver, Wisconsin using
most of the old Military Road course for the time trial. The Road race
will take place south of Wrenshall, MN on Carlton County highway 1
using the old triangular course with a newly re-paved MN 23 on Sunday
morning June 30th.

This year WiSport racers will be awarded bonus points for both events.
Our events follow the popular Bong Memorial race which precedes this on
Saturday morning near Superior, Wisconsin. This is an ABR sanctioned
race. USA Cycling racers are more than welcome to participate. As in
the past there is no prize list - just events for fun. While the event
is geared more towards citizen and lower categories it is open to all.
Our low entry fees include all insurance and surcharges.

Enjoy the great scenery and almost traffic free courses.

Greetings all!

I hope everyone was able to make it out to Alpine Valley last weekend
to see all the top pros and take on one of the best courses around. As
an update, OLN will be broadcasting coverage of the Chevy Trucks NORBA
Nationals @ Alpine Valley, Wisconsin on the following dates: Thursday,
July 17 and Thursday, July 25. Make sure and check out www.olntv.com
for specific air times. If you don't get OLN, contact your cable
provider and request it!!!

Check out this next great event: The Second Annual Midwest Pedro's
Festival will take place next weekend (June 28-30) at Bruce Mound near
Hatfield, Wis. (also near Black River Falls). Pedro's Fest is the best
event around, it's everything you love about mountain biking and more -
minus the racing!

Pedro's Fest will include: Trial rides for all abilities (including
women's only rides) on the Midwest's best trails (you've got to ride
these Bruce Mound trails to believe them!), camping, concerts, meeting
new people, expos, trials demos, beer, parties, Red Bull, mud bog
races, the super water slide and so much more!!!

This event is perfect for everyone - for you non-racers, it's perfect
because you get to experience a great event made for you. For you
racers out there, it's a chance to kick back and rediscover why you
love mountain biking so much - it's fun. It's also a great way to
recover your legs and spirits from a season that already seems really
long.

Onsite registrations will be accepted, so make sure to bring your
friends! Registration is open on Friday!!! More information can be
found at www.pedrosfest.com. Check out the following schedule!

>From Bob Schwartz,

Announcing two events in the Eau Claire area:

The Tilden TT, Tilden, WI - Sat July 6th

http://www.execpc.com/~cvcc/tildentt.html

The TTT is a Wisport race with all the Wisport
categories. Entry is $15 with no late fee. We
aspire to be a monument to capitalism but since
all our sponsors crapped out on us last fall
we have to settle for an event that celebrates
the joy of racing a bicycle in a manner that
causes the individual great pain.

For an event that glorifies capitalism, please
consider the Ring Around Saturn Criterium in
Eau Claire on the following day, Sunday July 7th.

http://www.ringaroundsaturn.com/

Wisport races in the morning, followed by serious
money in in-line skate races, followed by more
serious money in USCF events later in the day.
Note that while Cat 3s race with the Cat 1/2s they
have their own prize list. Note also that there
is a prime budget and we will be shaking down
Oakwood mall tenants to further supplement this.
There is $5000 total in cash prizes.

If you use the 'Driving Directions' link on the
web page you'll get directions to the Saturn
dealership. The race is at Oakwood Mall which is
the first exit on US 53 north from the interstate.
If you don't see the mall and miss it just keep
driving because with your eyes you shouldn't be
racing anyway. The mall is pretty hard to miss.

The Saturn event has online registration with
post entry after June 30th. For more info use
the respective web page contacts.
