City-approved event??? I'm appalled. As long as cyclists take up no more than
one lane of traffic, then cyclists should have the same rights as cars.
However, rules of the road were established with the multi-ton metal vehicle in
mind therefore, not all rules that apply to automobiles should be applied to
cyclists in the same fashion.
Actually, I was pretty sure it was prohibited to ride even two abreast on any
street (technically)....I'm surprised if it's not.
