>A whole new way for the fitness minded to tour the Niagara Region is underway
and it's high time we all got on board. The Toronto-Niagara Bike Train made its
inaugural journey in July with a baggage car that can accommodate 56 bicycles.
The price for a round-trip ticket is $59 and one-way trips are $35. The train
runs from Toronto to Niagara Falls for three more weekends this summer: Aug.
11-12; Aug. 18-20 and Aug. 25-26. for more info visit www.biketrain.ca.

>Cycling Niagara - Off Road Routes
>The Niagara Region is paradise on wheels for both on or off-road cycling. The
Niagara trail mix includes long winding backcountry paths, smooth recreational
trails along the Niagara River and Welland Canal, recovered and resurfaced
railway lines, and leafy cross-country tracks through woods and orchards.
Lightly travelled and shared- use roadways

>NOTE: It would've cost only $5 each way to ship a bike via Amtrak from Union
Station/LA to Chicago/Rochester, NY. Next time I will bring a "folder." BTW. the
luggage-handling was superb and hassle free yet very secure. No security hurdles
to leap, either.

>But, taking a bike on the goldline to Pasadena is ah, a wonderful experience
---and so easy!!! [Not to mention the Union station connections with other
Metrorail lines, metrolink, amtrak and many buslines.
