Plan your trips using bikemetro.com, it will give you routes from point a to point b using streets with less traffic...

I don't know about anybody else, but I would avoid the PV area
completely. It's pretty moutainous and those roads are hard to ride
because of the cars.

To get to LB I usually take the Metro blue line. There is a green
line station on Marine and Redondo Beach Ave. that connects to the
blue line I know it's a bit inland, but still.
