I sent this to the LA Bicycle Program - Michelle replied and also
provided a link for anyone to report road damage!
Thank you for posting the alert on the LA River Bike Path closure!
There is also a very dangerous area on the bike lane on Forest Lawn
Drive.
The westbound bike lane (riding towards Barham), right after Mt Sinai
cemetary, has a line of trees...the tree roots have pushed up the
bike lane in approx 3 places...one is almost 6-8 inches high...I have
seen many riders hit that, and get up in the air. To get around it
requires you to maneuver into the middle of the westbound traffic
lane...this is extremely dangerous and needs to be repaired
immediately before someone gets hurt very badly....
thank you
I've forwarded this information on the folks at the Department of
Public Works, Bureau of Street Services for their attention. FYI, on
our website under maintenance there is a roadway repairs link
(http://www.lacity.org/BOSS/request.htm). For future issues please
use this form to report potholes, road surface and anything that
might impair riding on the city streets.
