North of the Santa Monica pier at Wilshire and Ocean. You can take it south to Palos Verdes.

As others have posted the path goes 2 or 3 miles north of the SM pier to Temescal w6 Will Rogers State Beach. After that you could still ride in the parking...

Just north(1/2 mile) of Temescal Canyon is the northern most point.... but parking is best up temescal....

The northern end starts/ends at the north end of the Will Rogers State Beach parking lot. You can park in the parking lot for $5. But I prefer to park across...
