Two weekends ago our group enjoyed the Venice Beach bike trail. It
was an easy parking situation ($6.00 before 9:00am; $9.50 at 9:00am
and after....for the day).

I am unfamiliar with parking facilities/charges near the South Bay
trail. The close-up map provided by LABikePaths.com idicates entry
points (brown arrows) but nothing more than that ( a link to a street
name using, say, www.mapblast.com woould have been helpful.)

Is there anyone out there who can recommend the best place to park
for the day (hassle-free)?

Moreover, a route recommendation would also be helpful as my sense of
direction is very low on the Richter scale (starting point,the 101
and Van Nuys).

I will welcome all suggestions.
