One of the most convenient bike entrances, which includes bathrooms
and parking would be Wilderness Park. Florence and the 605. Duck ponds,
etc, a very nice park. The entrance is a bit tricky to find the first
time -- you'll think you're going back onto the freeway. South will
take you to Long Beach, north will take you to Santa Fe Dam. You'll go
over the Whittier Narrows Dam (site of one of our biggest earthquakes)
to a 4 way bike intersection. right takes you to SF Dam, left will take
you to the Rio Hondo Bike Path which can also take you to Long Beach.
John Anson Ford park (Florence and the 710) is a nice destination,
also a good starting point.
Hope this helps.
