Several members from the EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB participated in 1^st Annual Pasadena Marathon & 26 Mile Bike Tour on Sunday, March 22nd.  It was an experience to ride in a rain storm!

Everyone in the group made it except for me.  I had a crash on mile 4 and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.  The good news is that I am recovering from bruised ribs and my bruised ego…..  Thank god nothing worst.  Thanks to all for your text messages, emails and phone calls.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

All rides are free unless we are participating in a special ride, the rides are leisurely-paced, community and socially oriented, all abilities are welcomed and we are family friendly.

What to Bring:

A bicycle in good running order helmets and lights if you are riding in our night rides. 

All participants under 18 must wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian.

Children under age 9 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device.

Bring plenty of water and a snack too.

Most of all bring your good attitude and be prepared to have fun!

Enjoy free museum admission, and the film screening of “Breaking Away”, a performance by Telematique, veggie snacks, drinks, and free bike valet parking provided by the LA County Bike Coalition.

8:30pm – Film Screening: BREAKING AWAY Breaking Away is a coming of age film that tells the story of four teenagers in Bloomington, Indiana, who have graduated high school and are not sure what they want to do with their lives, other than hang out and go swimming in an abandoned limestone quarry.  (1979, 100 min., Dir. Peter Yates)

ALL HAMMER PUBLIC PROGRAMS ARE FREE.  Tickets for this screening are required, and are available at the Billy Wilder Theater Box Office starting at 7:30.  Limit one ticket per person on a first come, first served basis.  

Secure bicycle valet parking in the courtyard is FREE.  

LA MARATHON - MAY 25th at 5am
