Hello Cyclistas:

We invite you to join us on this Saturday at 10am for our weekly ride.  The weather is going to be great!

Last week a couple of members from the EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB rode down to the LA BIKE SUMMIT which took place at Trade Tech College just South of Downtown LA.  There were lots of discussion on what Los Angeles needs to do to truly become a world class city that must include a clear bike transportation plan.  It was attended by nearly 200 cyclists.

After the LA BIKE SUMMIT we rode to Hollywood for a very special treat. 

Members of the EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB RODE, DOWN SUSET BLVD with 7 TIME Tour de France Champion LANCE ARMSTRONG! 

It was an incredible experience.  There was close to 1,800 cyclists on that ride, followed by an informal discussion / interview with Lance and a free concert put on by NIKE, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  Let me tell you guys Nike know how to throw a PARTY!

I will be uploading pictures and video from the CALIFORNIA TOUR BIKE RACE, THE LA BIKE SUMMIT AND THE RIDE WITH LANCE IN HOLLYWOOD.

Also join us on TUESDAY, MARCH 17 for our 1^st Annual ST PATRICKS NIGHT RIDE, We are asking everyone to wear a bright green to be seen attire!  

And finally there are several members from the EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB who have signed up for the 1^st Annual Pasadena Marathon & 26 Mile Bike Tour on Sunday, March 22^nd.  I will follow up on details next week on where we will meet for that ride.  If you have not signed up there still is time, the event has not sold out as of today.

Eastside Bike Club rides are every Tuesday Nights at 7pm

and Saturday Mornings at 10am

All rides are free unless we are participating in a special ride, the rides are leisurely-paced, community and socially oriented, all abilities are welcomed and we are family friendly.

What to Bring:

A bicycle in good running order helmets and lights if you are riding in our night rides. 

All participants under 18 must wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian.

Children under age 9 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device.

Bring plenty of water and a snack too.

Most of all bring your good attitude and be prepared to have fun!
