Even when you got over the gate the county wasn't making it easy.
There were two crews working on the bike path Monday. One was
cleaning the trash from the storm. Another looked like it was doing
graffiti removal. Both almost had the path totally blocked. One guy
had his pickup truck door open while he talked on his cell phone.
This completely blocked the path until he noticed me waiting. As far
as I can tell the county considers the path a maintenance access road
and doesn't worry about safety and access for anyone else. I've never
seen them cone off their equipment or flag the path when they create
a single lane around their trucks.
