The fliers are being mailed today, Tuesday the 12th. If you can't
wait for a flier,
I have update the bike clubs web page with all the info for the 12th
Annual 12 MOH.
The flier and entry forms, both mail in and online, plus info for
camping and hotels.
Please read the flier, we have made some changes for Saturday.
Take a sneak peak at the black t-shirts.

Here's a little trail description of the New Draper trail. It's tight
winding single track through the trees, with little or no climbing, fairly
smooth and fast. This is a fun trail to ride, not hard at all. The trail is
an 8 mile loop, that's with the latest section added. The first original
loop is about 6 miles, it has a cut-off back to the parking area that will
give you almost 3 miles. I took Kevin, my son age 11, up over Christmas
break and he rode the whole thing with no problem, didn't walk any.

I talked with Johnny on the phone, and he's in for Friday.
That's 4 and counting.

OK, who's in for a night ride for Friday night, the 17th up at New
Draper. Don't worry about getting off early, we'll leave when everyone
gets off. We don't have to meet the OEF guys. So if you want to go,
email back and give a time that you can leave. It's still a little
early, but I would like to start getting it together.
I'm in and can leave at any time.

This is just a reminder about tomorrow night's meeting--the 11th, 7:00 p.m.,
12th & A Ave.
We're two weeks late getting the 12 Miles of Hell fliers mailed, so we MUST get
them ready tomorrow night to be mailed Tuesday. We'd really appreciate your
help!
Also, I'll have a "Volunteer Sheet" at the meeting so you can sign up where you
would prefer to work at the race. Some of the areas needing help are
registration, course marshals, marking the course, and parking. If you are
unable to come to the meeting but would like to work the race, just email me.
When you do, please tell me WHERE you would prefer to work, a PHONE NUMBER where
you can be reached during the day, and your T-SHIRT SIZE. All volunteers
receive a long-sleeved t-shirt (or short-sleeved if you prefer). If you would
like to buy additional t-shirts or a sweatshirt, those will be available to you
at the WMBC cost. I'll get that to you a little later.
And, remember . . . . . it's better if we don't have children of ANY age at
registration. It's a fun and rewarding time, but also a very "harried" time,
and it takes all our attention. If you're a new member and maybe a little
hesitant to "jump in" to work, please don't be. We'll tell you exactly what you
need to do. None of it is difficult--just needs warm bodies. Thanks a bunch,
and see you tomorrow night!
We are going to wait until 1:00. It is going to get a little warmer.
Cooper if you will send you phone number we will call you.

workout after work. df

Everyone start thinking about a night ride for next Friday the 15th
up at New Draper or Arcadia. The gang up in the city have Friday night
rides. Not sure where they're meeting that Friday. They start riding at
7:00. There's two ways we do this, that is to meet them and ride. If
everyone that can go can get off in time for us to be on the road by
5:15 the latest, we can start with them at 7:00. If not we can all
leave when we're ready and ride ourselves, let them know and they can
meet us back at the trail head when we get their. I went up to Draper
the Friday night after Thanksgiving and had a blast riding. Their were
six of us that night, the week before their was 13. I left my house (in
Cache) at 5:10 and get there in time to ride at 7:00. Of course this
all depends on the weather.
Michael
WMBC is hosting a pre pre ride of the 12 MOH race course on January
17. We will meet at Letra, the new starting area for the race. This is
not an
official pre ride like the day before the race, the course will not be
marked. It's just one of our regular riding days and
you are welcome to come ride with us. We plan to ride the tentative
course, which will be around 16 miles at a moderate pace.
We'll meet at Letra on Ft. Sill at 11:00 on the 17th of January.

There have been some major changes in the 12 Miles of Hell. Because of
those, the printing of the fliers had to be postponed. However, they
will be ready this week, and we're going to
combine this month's meeting with the "Label Sticking Party". We will
meet at our regular time--next MONDAY, JANUARY 11, 7:00 P.M., AT 12TH &
A AVENUE.
Again, we have over 2,000 individual labels to stick to fliers and over
150 labels for bike shops. Then multiple fliers must be inserted in the
bike shop envelopes.
While we are working, David will bring us up to date on the 12 Miles of
Hell. Also, Jeff will discuss the WMBC night rides, and Mike LaSorsa
will explain the email cycling list.
PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND! We really need your help. (You can
volunteer for your place to work the 12 MOH at the meeting, too.) 'See
you Monday!
