Several of us from this area would like to thank you for all of the effort
you put into the trail. We still come over to ride it a couple of times a
year. Still a blast. Anyway, Old Man Trail is located on city of Lawton
property that borders the west side of lake Lawtonka. The trailhead starts in
the
refuge and you have to climb, for now, a ladder to gain access. From
Medicine Park heading west into the refuge the 1st dirt road on the north side
of
the road leads to a small dirt parking lot. From there a couple hundred yards
to the north is the fence with the ladder. The loop is 6 1/2 miles or so, it
goes out on single track and then loops back onto itself for the finish. If
you've ridden Draper then this is about as close as we've got around here.
A few more technical spots thrown in for fun. Nothing tough like what you've
got over there. Glad to hear
that you haven't sold your mountain bike. Happy trails and if there is
