A reminder that the Penn State-UC Irvine national semifinal contest will be broadcast on a tape-delay basis on ESPN2 at noon on Friday. The National Championship match between Penn State and UCLA will air live on ESPN2 on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Notes:
-This is Penn State's first win in the NCAA semifinals since 1995, when it eventually fell to UCLA in the title match. The previous year in 1994, the Nittany Lions shocked the Bruins to capture their first national title.

-Senior middle hitter Nate Meerstein recorded a career-high 13 blocks in the contest against the Anteaters. The mark also ties the school record for blocks in a single match, set in the rally-scoring era by Keith Kowal at Princeton on March 27, 2005. He also ties the traditional-scoring record, set by Kevin Hourican versus Rutgers-Newark on Feb. 25, 1995.

-Senior outside hitter Kevin Wentzel set a new career high and fell just short of the school record with five service aces in the contest. He also tied his season high in blocks with four.
