Long Beach swept Penn State and BYU swept Lewis in the semis. Then BYU
won a classic in 5 (19-17 in the fifth) for the championship.

Actually, I would disagree with Doug only slightly - I wouldn't consider it a classic. LBSU had 10-6 and 13-11 in the 5th, and blew it. They should have won....

... True...but remember, 3 of those matches went a close 5 games.  In the first game, the great LBSU server(forgot his name) had 4 aces and at one point LBSU...
