This was sent to me by someone else. Please don't think I'm trying to push my beliefs on you and yours, I'm not. I just think it deserves action.

Anti-protest Westboro Baptist Church
What: Anti-protest Westboro Baptist Church: Staenberg Family JCC
When: November 12, 2009 6:30 PM
Where: Staenberg Family JCC 2 Millstone Campus Dr St. Louis, MO 63146
NOTE: If you can't make the other times or locations, come to the later times.
I know some of you guys feel it is inappropriate to pay any attention to the Westboro Baptist Church (the God Hates Fags people), feeling that it is better to ignore them rather than give them the attention they want. I completely understand your position.
However.
The Westboro Baptist Church will be in the St. Louis area protesting at these locations on these dates and times:
11/12/09 2:10 PM - 2:40 PM Northwest School 6005 Cedar Hill Rd Ceder
Hill, MO
11/12/09 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM Yeshiva Boys High School 8630 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO
11/12/09 6:45 PM - 7:30 PM Staenberg Family JCC 2 Millstone Campus Dr, St. Louis, MO
I originally heard about these locations on 105.7 The Point. The Point is involved in organizing a counter-protest. I think we should be involved too.
There are a few rules if you are to show up:
1. NO PHYSICAL CONFRONTATIONS. INCLUDING SPITTING. 2. If there are rules set up for the schools we are supporting, you must follow them. 3. I'd encourage you to make a sign, but make sure it reflects positively on us. "You can be good without god" is good, "Westboro can suck my atheist balls" is not. "The Flying Spaghetti Monster loves Pirates" is good. I would ask that you do not make any signs that are against WBC or bigoted. Rather, make a sign that is for tolerance, in support of the families of fallen soldiers, in support of
religious freedom, 4. There will probably only be 3-5 of the Westboro people here. They are likely to have children with them. Do not do anything that would frighten, endanger or scare their children. We want to show those kids that we are good people. This is to be a peaceful protest. 5. Listen to the police. 6. Wear shirts displaying messages of tolerance, or atheism, or science, or whatever else you usually wear to Meetups. 7. Wear warm enough clothing that you don't get cold, and expect the press and media to be there.
Even if you do not make signs, you can still show up. It will probably be obvious which group you belong in. You'll note that Westbobo has specifically set up their times ad Ceder Hill to coincide with school being let out for the day.
Go here to see what they have to say about why they are protesting - scroll down about
halfway.
