I registered this afternoon, and I'm looking to share a room.

I'm talking with local hashers (Indiana)
I sent an email to the Memphis couple on the list and to Horn-E in Chicago.
Been hashing for 20 years
Pretty neat
but I SNORE!

Madame Yuk can vouch for me.

So if you hear anything.....

That's right, once again we're going to bring back the
days of your high school prom: getting all dressed up,
doing your hair, steak and lobster dinner, dancing,
and getting plastered at one of your friend's house
afterwards.

But this time, everyone's getting *dress*ed up, you
can do the hares instead (if you're lucky), dinner
ain't gonna be no steak or lobster, dancing will be
replaced with running, and screw getting plastered
afterwards... we're all gonna get fer-schnickered
before the whole thing starts!!!

That's right, IndyScent's 4th Anal Prom is coming to a
city near you (Indianapolis, to be specific) on
Saturday May 21, 2005. (New this year--pub crawl
Friday night)

Details are still being discussed and finalized, and
we're aniticipating a registration fee somewhere in
the neighborhood of $1-1000 (likely in the 20-60
range). But... YOU CAN PRE-REGISTER NOW by going to:

http://www.indyhhh.com/prom/

More details are on the website and more information
will be posted/emailed as it cumz available. We are
also working on lodging arrangements for those
outta-towners hoping to attend. The official hash
hotel is likely going to be the Days Inn Downtown -
their rates are currently running around $60-70/night.

Email psygnal11@... or bushdriver2001@...
for more 411.

On-on,

Hell that even works for us non cook types.

Just go to Boston Market or order takeout.  Beer or other offerings work well too.

I will.  They have enough on their hands that dinner is the last thing they need to worry about.  If you do not think I am out of line, maybe we could send out a request for hashers to bring dinner over every other day.  I am making a lasagna which should last at least a day or two.  Can't say the cheese bread or salad will last that long.

What do you think?  The hash has plenty of good cooks.  Your kids are older and it is further in your past, but I remember what it was like not to have to worry about cooking dinner.  Having a baby takes so much getting use  Do you know if either of them have any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, no pork, etc...)

We should have done this for Waldo as well.  Bad me.

She fought it all the way, but Jessie and Eric's new daugher has finally arrived.  Her name is undetermined so far.  She's 8 lb 11 oz and she's so beautiful.  She looks like Jessie with Erics nose.  She long fingers and feet and of course, dark hair.  Jessica's water broke at 7:15 Saturday morning and contractions began a little less than 2 hours later.  They planned for the birth to be at home, and they made every effort, but due to complications they went to St. John's Sunday evening.  After quite some time, doctors determined that labor had stalled at 9 centimeters (although she had been at 10 centimeters most of the day).  Potosin was administered and Jess delivered at 12:11 Monday morning.

Mom and Dad are doing great.  Jessie labored very hard for two full days and Eric can no longer feel his fingers due to rubbing her back through almost every contraction.  They both were exhausted, but they did so well.

Will try to post a picture to the web page later today, but for now..... sleep for everyone....

Hey all,
Dead Squirrel, here.....I joined "Team in Training" for the
Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. I had originally signed on for the Century
bike ride, but scheduling just didn't work out. So, now I am going to
be running the Mayor's Midnight Sun Run in Anchorage, Alaska. I will
actually be running for a dear friend of mine who has leukemia and is
awaiting a bone marrow transplant.
I would love it if any of you would like to join the cause,
physically, or monetarily......my goal in order to run the Half
Marathon is $4000 (needs to be raised by May)75% of the money goes
directly to the Leukemia/Lymphoma society for research, medicine,
hardship funds etc. They are doing great things!
Thanks for your support.....hope to see you all out on the roads, or
at a hash....thanks for taking the time to consider this
For those who would like to donate, I will have an address and forms
in the next week or so (have to get the move out of the way 1st!!)

On-On,
Dead Squirrel (Betsy)

I stink this fits our "demographic"...

-- -- --

http://www.moderndrunkardmagazine.com/

* Editor Frank Kelly Rich's bimonthly tribute to overdrinking--the
magazine Modern Drunkard--is a 50,000-circulation glossy "about
drinking and only about drinking, and not just drinking, but heavy
drinking," he told the Los Angeles Times in January. Recent
features included biographies of great drunks, a dictionary of bar
slang, and a testimonial on how drinking cured one man's fear of
flying. "The most accomplished people," Rich said, "have been
drinkers," and he implied that people in the Middle East ought to
drink more. Calling serious drinkers an "oppressed minority,"
Rich said he himself has about eight drinks a day, sometimes up to
30 (when he frequently blacks out). Said Rich's wife, of her
husband's career, "When you find your calling, you have to go
with it."

Sunday - Hangover hash

Check out the link for all the details! There MIGHT
and I mean MIGHT be a prize for the out of town hash
who brings the most hashers with them. (I mean I
think someone in the big hump may have an old case of
dirt cheap layin around somewhere they could part
with!)

[For those waukasha hashers - Bama is going to the
local hardware store this weekend to scavenge supplies
for a beer bong and will figure out assembly!]

We hope to see you all there!!!!

ONON!!!!

No apologies necessary... we're all hashers, who, by definition:

hasher n. HASH/er
1. wanks who gather on a regular or semi-regular basis to run around like
idiots, searching for sweet, sweet beer (mmmm.... beeeeer) and crave drama,
be it their own or that of someone else - especially another kennel's because
it makes your own kennel closer to normal than the "psychopathic mass of
wanks who have banded together for no other reason to torment each other
and drink each other's beer" kennel you thought it was.

In other words, your rants were merely a Sunday School class in comparison
to the ravings of other hashes I've observed. (not IndyScent, though, because
we're just plain awesome)

Rantings do not make you a bad hasher, it makes you a better one.... because
now we have more reasons to make you down-down!!! hahaha.

mismanagment making decisions that effect the whole Hash without
consulting other members of mismanagment, but when they're called on
it, they state that it was a "mismangement decision". The managment
of any Hash should be loose (just like it's women), hense the term
mismanagement, however decisions being made by a few, but "blamed"
on the rest of us, is unacceptable. Case in point, PMS was removed
as Webmeister without her knowledge--just locked off of the
website. When she tried to contact Yuk, her calls and emails were
ignored. It is known that Yuk got these messages, because she
called her co-gm, Meta, to "warn" him that PMS was calling. When
PMS spoke with Meta, he told her that is was a "mismangement"
decision--bullshit Meta! I know of AT LEAST five people on
mismangement that were not consulted. Am I saying the decision was
wrong, no, but what I am
> saying is that the way it was handled, was VERY wrong--just
locking her out, so she finds out when she is trying to input an
attendance list for a r*n. GROW UP!!! You two wanted the
responsibility of GM than take responsibility for the pitfalls of
the position too. Lead the BH4 the way it should be lead, with fun
loving spirit, not this back biting, sneaky, crap, who can I try and
screw next and blame someone else, attitude. I reiterate that my
issue isn't so much that PMS was removed from her webmeister, but
how it was done.
>
> That does lead me to the question of why PMS was removed as
webmeister? Maybe the webpage isn't as good as it's been in the
past, hmmmm, lets say when PMS was keeping it up. I seem to recall
a time or two when the hotline wasn't updated--let's replace the On
Sec (Yuk), the first two Hashes of 2005 there wasn't any Hash beer--
lets replace the Beer Meisters (Humptus, Blows, DQ), Hash Cash was
out for over 2 months and who knows what went on with the money--
lets replace her (Pornogenic). I haven't heard anyone saying that
(wait--or are they plotting behind our backs, like they did PMS???)
My point is, that we all take "breaks" from the Hash, where we maybe
don't perform our elected position as well as we should or would
like, but the Hash is not our life and not our main priority. PMS
always posted directions and the hareline when she received it.
Sometimes, she didn't get the directions. Did she raise hares as
diligently as she has done it the past--no, we've been struggling at
> times for a hare (wait, wasn't that the way it was BEFORE PMS
took over the position in the first place???). In addition, I seem
to recall, several people bitching to her this summer that her
receding hare was TOO long.....people make up your minds!!!
>
> There appears to be no communication among mismangement as a
whole. Yuk reported to me 2 weeks ago that she wanted PMS to come
out and help with the Green Dress Run (GDR), because nothing was
done and she was really getting worried. This sentiment was
conveyed again at the last Hash by a GDR committee member (so I now
know that I just wasn't hallucinating from those funny little
flowers I was eating on that hillside in Mexico--Iron Lung, I told
you to take better care of me in a foreign country) confirmed that
Yuk was overwhelmed by the GDR planning and in fact THERE MIGHT NOT
BE A GREEN DRESS THIS YEAR!!! However, when Meta shows up at the on
after, he states that the GDR planning is fine and everything is
going along as planned. Wait--do the co-GM's talk to each other,
other than plotting to remove mismangement from their positions???
How come NONE of the other GDR committee members were up to date on
the planning? Wasn't the issue of why people didn't want PMS as the
GM,
> because SHE was a control freak and we couldn't have HER running
everything? It's a good thing we don't have control freaks running
things now!!! At least PMS was an ORGANIZED control freak!
>
> I've stepped on enough toes...(for now--he he) and my true
intention is not to hurt feelings, but to open eyes. Most of us
come out to Hash to get a little exercise, socialize with some
friends, and forget the real world bullshit that we deal with during
our "normal" life, even for just a little while. If the BH4 wants
to have a dictatorhsip, that's fine with me. I'll come to run and
drink beer, and let someone else deal with the crap. But this needs
to be a Hash decison, not a decision made by a few self-appointed
individuals. Meta and Yuk have done some VERY good things for and
by the Hash. Unfortuantely, whether they made the decisions alone
on recent events or if they had input from a few others, they, as
GM's must bear the brunt of responsibility. These decisions
certanly were NOT decisions made by a quorum of elected mismangement
members.
>
> I just want to have a place to come to and relax. Cutting loose
doesn't mean reverting back to high school behavior. It also
doesn't mean going out of your way to hurt people. In any large
group people's feelings are bound to get hurt every once in a while,
but it seems that it has become a norm of late, with our Hash. I'm
asking that the crap stop now.
>

money over to the GM's. If you all want to "kick me out" of the

than this. I just had to speak up.......P-genic

2004 Darwin Awards: The Darwin Awards honor people who did the "gene pool" the most service by killing themselves in the most extraordinarily stupid way. The candidates this year are:

+ Police in Windsor, Ontario said Daniel Kolta, 27, and Randy Taylor, 33, died in a head-on collision, thus earning a tie in the game of chicken they were playing with their Snowmobiles.

+ In Detroit, a 41-year-old man got stuck and drowned in two feet of water after squeezing head first through an 18-inch-wide sewer grate to retrieve his car keys.

+ A 49-year-old San Francisco stockbroker, who "totally zoned when he ran," accidentally jogged off a 100-foot-high cliff on his daily run.

+ Buxton, NC: A man died on a beach when an 8-foot-deep hole he had dug into the sand caved in as he sat inside it. Beach-goers said Daniel Jones, 21, dug the hole for fun, or protection from the wind, and had been sitting in a beach chair at the bottom Thursday afternoon when it collapsed, burying him beneath 5 feet of sand. It took rescue workers using heavy equipment almost an hour to free him while about 200 people looked on. Jones was pronounced dead at a hospital.

+ Santiago Alvarado, 24, was killed in Lompoc, CA, as he fell face-first through the ceiling of bicycle shop he was burglarizing. Death was caused when the long flashlight he had placed in his mouth (to keep his hands free) rammed into the base of his skull as he hit the floor.

+ According to police in Dahlonega, GA, ROTC cadet Nick Berrena, 20, was stabbed to death in January by fellow cadet Jeffrey Hoffman, 23, who was trying to prove that a knife could not penetrate the flak vest Berrena was wearing.

+ Paul Stiller, 47, was hospitalized in Andover Township, NJ, and his wife Bonnie was also injured, when a quarter-stick of dynamite blew up in their car. While driving around at 2 AM, the bored couple lit the dynamite and tried to toss it out the window to see what would happen, but apparently failed to notice the window was closed.

+ TACOMA, WA: Kerry Bingham had been drinking with several friends when one of them said they knew a person who had bungee-jumped from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in the middle of traffic. The conversation grew more heated and at least 10 men trooped along the walkway of the bridge at 4:30 am. Upon arrival at the midpoint of the bridge they discovered that no one had brought a bungee rope. Bingham, who had continued drinking, volunteered and pointed out that a coil of lineman's cable lay nearby. One end of the cable was secured around Bingham's leg and the other end was tied to the bridge. His fall lasted 40 feet before the cable tightened and tore his foot off at the ankle. He miraculously survived his fall into the icy river water and was rescued by two nearby fishermen. "All I can say "said Bingham, "is that God was watching out for me on that night." Bingham's foot was never located.

  + AND THE WINNER:

Overzealous zookeeper Friedrich Riesfeldt (Paderborn, Germany) fed his constipated elephant Stefan 22 doses of animal laxative and more than a bushel of berries, figs and prunes before the plugged-up pachyderm finally let it fly. Investigators say Friedrich, 46, was attempting to give the ailing elephant an olive oil enema when the relieved beast unloaded on him.

"The sheer force of the elephant's unexpected defecation knocked Mr. Riesfeldt to the ground, where he struck his head on a rock and lay unconscious as the elephant continued to evacuate his bowels on top of him" said flabbergasted Paderborn police detective Erik Dern. With no one there to help him, he lay under all that dung for at least an hour before a watchman came along. During that time he suffocated.

2nd Annual Pirate Invasion Hash Campout

  • What: Rrrr ya ready to party like a pirate?  Cum storm the island with us!  We will be boarding our Pirate Vessels, a 23’ sail boat, 19’ center console, and a 16’ V-hull and invading a large wooded island in the Dunedin Inter-coastal.  On the island there will be the typical pirate activities( Rapin’, Pilligin’, and feasting!)  As always Pirates eat in grand style!!  Chef Bobby and his Coffin cooker are back!  We’ll be roasting an 80lb pig and fire roasting a big pile of shrimp for dinner!  And even though most Pirates just shit in the woods, we will be setting up a private privy for our less adventurous pirates.  We will be doing the pre-invasion set up on the island on Friday and have a limited number of spots available for early birds.·
