Okay, time for me to speak my mind (albeit a half mind at that).  Those of you smart enough will hit the "delete: now, before you waste too much of your time on my drivel.......

 

What I want to know is when did Big Hump H3 become a dictatorship??? What I'm referring to is a select few members of mismanagment making decisions that effect the whole Hash without consulting other members of mismanagment, but when they're called on it, they state that it was a "mismangement decision".  The managment of any Hash should be loose (just like it's women), hense the term mismanagement, however decisions being made by a few, but "blamed" on the rest of us, is unacceptable.  Case in point, PMS was removed as Webmeister without her knowledge--just locked off of the website.  When she tried to contact Yuk, her calls and emails were ignored.  It is known that Yuk got these messages, because she called her co-gm, Meta, to "warn" him that PMS was calling.  When PMS spoke with Meta, he told her that is was a "mismangement" decision--bullshit Meta! I know of AT LEAST five people on mismangement that were not consulted.  Am I saying the decision was wrong, no, but what I am saying is that the way it was handled, was VERY wrong--just locking her out, so she finds out when she is trying to input an attendance list for a r*n.  GROW UP!!! You two wanted the responsibility of GM than take responsibility for the pitfalls of the position too.  Lead the BH4 the way it should be lead, with fun loving spirit, not this back biting, sneaky, crap, who can I try and screw next and blame someone else, attitude.  I reiterate that my issue isn't so much that PMS was removed from her webmeister, but how it was done. 

 

That does lead me to the question of why PMS was removed as webmeister? Maybe the webpage isn't as good as it's been in the past, hmmmm, lets say when PMS was keeping it up.  I seem to recall a time or two when the hotline wasn't updated--let's replace the On Sec (Yuk), the first two Hashes of 2005 there wasn't any Hash beer--lets replace the Beer Meisters (Humptus, Blows, DQ), Hash Cash was out for over 2 months and who knows what went on with the money--lets replace her (Pornogenic).  I haven't heard anyone saying that (wait--or are they plotting behind our backs, like they did PMS???)  My point is, that we all take "breaks" from the Hash, where we maybe don't perform our elected position as well as we should or would like, but the Hash is not our life and not our main priority.  PMS always posted directions and the hareline when she received it.  Sometimes, she didn't get the directions.  Did she raise hares as diligently as she has done it the past--no, we've been struggling at times for a hare (wait, wasn't that the way it was BEFORE PMS took over the position in the first place???).  In addition, I seem to recall, several people bitching to her this summer that her receding hare was TOO long.....people make up your minds!!!

 

There appears to be no communication among mismangement as a whole.  Yuk reported to me 2 weeks ago that she wanted PMS to come out and help with the Green Dress Run (GDR), because nothing was done and she was really getting worried.  This sentiment was conveyed again at the last Hash by a GDR committee member (so I now know that I just wasn't hallucinating from those funny little flowers I was eating on that hillside in Mexico--Iron Lung, I told you to take better care of me in a foreign country) confirmed that Yuk was overwhelmed by the GDR planning and in fact THERE MIGHT NOT BE A GREEN DRESS THIS YEAR!!! However, when Meta shows up at the on after, he states that the GDR planning is fine and everything is going along as planned.  Wait--do the co-GM's talk to each other, other than plotting to remove mismangement from their positions??? How come NONE of the other GDR committee members were up to date on the planning? Wasn't the issue of why people didn't want PMS as the GM,  because SHE was a control freak and we couldn't have HER running everything? It's a good thing we don't have control freaks running things now!!! At least PMS was an ORGANIZED control freak!

 

I've stepped on enough toes...(for now--he he) and my true intention is not to hurt feelings, but to open eyes.  Most of us come out to Hash to get a little exercise, socialize with some friends, and forget the real world bullshit that we deal with during our "normal" life, even for just a little while.   If the BH4 wants to have a dictatorhsip, that's fine with me.  I'll come to run and drink beer, and let someone else deal with the crap.  But this needs to be a Hash decison, not a decision made by a few self-appointed individuals.  Meta and Yuk have done some VERY good things for and by the Hash.  Unfortuantely, whether they made the decisions alone on recent events or if they had input from a few others, they, as GM's must bear the brunt of responsibility.  These decisions certanly were NOT decisions made by a quorum of elected mismangement members. 

 

I just want to have a place to come to and relax.  Cutting loose doesn't mean reverting back to high school behavior.  It also doesn't mean going out of your way to hurt people.  In any large group people's feelings are bound to get hurt every once in a while, but it seems that it has become a norm of late, with our Hash.  I'm asking that the crap stop now.

 

If I'm in the wrong, I'll close the bank account now and turn the money over to the GM's.  If you all want to "kick me out" of the  BH4 Hash--so be it.  I've been kicked outta worse (better?) places than this.  I just had to speak up.......P-genic
