What valve springs to use for .500 lift?   Message List

Hey all. I was wondering what Valve springs and retainers you guys
are using? It looks as if SBC springs will work with the correct
retainers. I would buy the MTS stuff but they are a little more than
what I want to spend.

The springs recommenderd are crane 99848 they look like SBC springs with 105lbs at 1.70 and somethink like 298 at 1.2. Do you think a set of Z28 style springs...

crane 99848 is a sbc z28 spring . but you need short retainers and short keepers. retaners are like 50 a set and keepers are like 28 a set. or if you have a...
