First I'm a new member... and I Love My '69 Deville
Coupe.. I've had it 7 years . I like it so much that I
bought Two more very much like it. a '70 Coupe....
and a '69 Convertible.... both are Very Tired... as
they were sitting ALL the way back in a back/Junk
yard... ... and I bought 'em... Without
Titles?!?!....
Normally that wouldn't be a problem... and it wasn't,
with the Coupe. THe Tenn. DMV notwithstanding.
When I got them home however, I noticed that the VIN
plate on the Vertible.. was, well, just unreadable.
After Cleaning, Rubbing , heating, Rubbing, Cursing,
Etc.... I have what Appears to be a Valid VIN...
F9227xxx Can anyone Carroborate this?... If you
cannot, does anyone Know How one can discern or Pay to
discern the VIN?.. the Police Have some
technology--When tracing possible stolen weapons to
look "Through" the metal... Anybody got a lead on a
Company/Source?
Finally... If nothing else works.... And I'm going to
try EVERYthing else... Anybody want to sell me a
Donor "Car" and you keep the Parts? The DMV here has
been Extremely UN-helpful...
