I'll try to notch the existing crossmember first. Another problem is
that the '62 had a two piece drive shaft, and the '69 had a one piece
with two u-joints and some other kind of bearing at each end. A
driveshaft shop said I could get the two piece driveshaft working,
though.

Any suggestions with this engine/trans swap? Motor and trans mounts are in the same place as the donor car, a '69 Fleetwood, but the oil pump and fuel pump...

it is not a swap I have done . have you looked at the latter 425 oil pump to see if it would help . and on the fuel pump maybe if you went to the smaller ...

If you are mechanically inclined enough to graft the whole cross member, why don't you just notch the one already there and check out other oil pans, they did...
