Hello everyone.


i have a 1972 Eldorado 500 cui carb, wich idles rough, but
will give good power if i donīt floor the pedal.
@ WOT the car starts to sputter at higher rpm ( about 3000 rpm). at
low rpm WOT will do but the engine has little or no power.
car makes only 65 mph.
i checked: igniton point (new), coil (new), condenser(new), wires
(new), spark plugs(new),
distributor, timing, dwell, fuel pressure (3-4.4psi), carb (new),
valves, cam, exhaust, timing chain if worn, vacuum leaks, head gaskets
(new), compression is good on all 8 cylinders.
valve shafts are worn, but thats not the problem in my opinion.

car makes 13-14 hg vacuum at idle, seems a little low?
maybe valve timing is wrong?
any suggestion is welcome.
