Hey BIGers,
Sorry for the double and triple posting of this e-mail, but I wanted to make sure I’ve included everyone.
A couple of items:
1. I am still getting the list serve for this group figured out. It appears that yahoo groups is easier to e-mail to and search for on the internet. So the list serve for BIG is going to be bicycling_in_gso@yahoogroups.com you can sign up by sending a note to bicycling_in_gso-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. I will discontinue the bicyclegso@... list serve very soon. Sorry for the confusion
2. Please bring your thoughts for a newspaper article to the meeting or in an e-mail to Jody Dietrich <jdietrich1@...>. She would like to know the following for an article in the N & R. ideas will need to be in to her before the end of the day on Thursday 10/6. We can also use the article to help define BIGs mission and interest in the Bicycle Pedestrian Planning Process. 1) person's name, 2) occupation 3) why exactly they are coming to BIG meetings 4) what they personally would like written about them... quotes, paragraph about why they so want Greensboro to be bicycle-friendly, what they will do to help effect a change... whatever they think would keep the reader's interest and help promote a bicycling-friendly Greensboro down the line.
3. hope to see and listen to you at the UNCG meeting location sponsored by the Bike Me! Collective.

Subject: thinking more about newspaper article
and what I really need. definitely 1) person's name, 2) occupation 3) why exactly they are coming to BIG meetings 4) what they personally would like written about them... quotes, paragraph about why they so want Greensboro to be bicycle-friendly, what they will do to help effect a change... whatever they think would keep the reader's interest and help promote a bicycling-friendly Greensboro down the line. can't guarantee I will get in every paragraph or quote, but I will get the gest of them, and put in some. also, Elma (at the N&R) is interested in my writing periodically on cycling-related issues, so if I don't get in all the good quotes this article, I'll save them for future articles.
also feel free to call me if calling would serve you better than emailing. my land line is 294-8692 and my cell phone is 254-9447. leave a message if I can't take your call and I'll call you back as soon as I can. feel free to call up anytime between 8:30 am andl 10 pm.
hope you have a little time to enjoy the beautiful weather outside!
Jody
