Ken Putnam and the Hearts bike club are starting an exciting new project for the Piedmont Triad (and beyond!) mountain bike enthusiasts. They have begun the process for constructing multi-use mountain bike & hiking trails in Pilot Mountain State Park. Imagine, real MOUNTAIN biking right here in our "neighborhood!"

This initiative requires active support from everyone in our region in the form of messages of support for multi-use trails to the park supervisor, Matt Windsor at matt.windsor@.... Please send him a message today about the desirability of these trails. (Be sure to identify yourself so that they know real people are writing.) 

Once there is final approval, there will be an additional need for volunteers to help do the actual trail construction.

As more information comes, progress reports will be issued.
