Phase One-A of the Downtown Greenway, the southwest corner, is
located at the intersection of Lee Street and Freeman Mill Road, heading
north along the edge of Freeman Mill Road to Spring Garden Street.
This ¼ mile section is one of 13 phases within the 4.8 mile urban walking
and biking trail that loops around downtown Greensboro. This phase
is flanked by the future site of the Motion Cornerstone, a major piece of
public art sculpture and a proposed trailhead parking area.
Trail design, landscape design plans, the proposed trailhead park plans,
and the vision for the cornerstone will be on view for feedback and
discussion.
