I have a 2002 Trek 7700FX. Given that the frame is the same one used
that year for Trek's cyclocross bikes, I'm curious as to how
problematic it would be to replace the flat handlebars with road
handlebars. Presumably, this would also entail new shifters and brake
levers. Any suggestions?

Here's an initial discussion topic:  cyclocross frames as the
ultimate road frame.

My old Bianch Axis cyclocross has served me beautifully as a commuter
bike, a loaded touring partner, and, with a quick change of wheels, a
decent ride for long, fast day rides.  So much so that I'm strongly
considering having a Seven cyclocross frame made for these purposes.

My question:  Anyone out there use a cyclocross as I do?  And, for
that matter, any opinions about Seven?  (On the latter point, my
mind's pretty well made up.)
