Yep all a bit quiet here

Yep, can be a bit hard to adjust the pads. Depending on the type but if
they are the standard, you need an allen key or small spanner to loosen
the pad and adjust it. Trick is when re-tightening not to put it out of
aligment again.

Also to prevent squeeling, the pads need a bit of a toe-in, the pad needs
to be a bit closer to the rim at the front than at the back of the
pad. New bike calipers normally do this automatically.

If you can't psyche it out, get the bike shop to do it. Best to have good
functioning brakes from the safety angle
