Hi there guys,

I am new to biking and have a few issues that you may be able to help
me with.

1. The biggest problem I have is with the seat, I get server pain
after only a few minutes riding. I have changed my seat several times
but still get a butt chafing and also feel like I am sitting on and
iron bar. I tried a really big seat with extra padding but the
inhibited my leg movement. I also tried a small seat but that hurt
worse.

I have not bought bicycling shorts as yet but cannot believe that
shorts would make that much difference. Is that correct?

2. The other issue is with my feet, I do have the correct position
for pedaling but I do get numbness in my feet, if I move my foot back
so the instep is on the pedal the numbness goes away but this limits
my range of movement for my stroke. Any thoughts?

3. I also get numbness in my hands from time to time. I know this
sounds like I have a lot of physical problems, but I am in good
health and pretty fit. I am sure it is just my riding position and or
equipment. As I wish to continue riding I need to iron out these
issues.

Any help any of you guys can give would be appreciated.

Thanks

John
