Progressive Engineer, the online magazine covering the mid-Atlantic and northeast regions of the U.S., has recently posted a feature story on Cannondale that might be of interest.  The bicycle manufacturer has developed fat-tube aluminum bike frames and flexible manufacturing techniques, allowing it to prosper making everything in the U.S.  Focusing on R&D, Cannondale has developed its own mountain bike suspension systems and other components, most of which had previously been dominated by overseas companies.
