Hello All,
I am new to this group so please excuse me. I was wondering if anyone
has ever heard of Barracuda Brand Bikes? They are big here in the UK
I guess. I just purchased a 2001 Matrix model that is a Full alloy
framed Full suspension bike with mid range Shimano Components
(Alivio) 24 speed, 36 Spoke Alex rims with Quad Hubs. Quad QMD3 160mm
Front disc, Shimano rear V brake. Kenda Kinetic 2.1 tires, Chilli 530
adjustable preload 80mm travel front forks, DNM adjustable pre load
rear shock with 3.75" travel, and a few other things I can think of
right now. It seems like a good midrange bike with lots of room to
grow and upgrade. I was skeptical at first thinking it was just
another department store bike but as I got looking I started to
notice things such as the Cartridge bearing hubs, replacable drop
outs, threadless headset, sealed bottom bracket. Has anyone else
heard of this brand? I bought this bike to replace a clapped out 7
year old rigid frame GT. Maybe this brand is something to watch. Now
to start upgrading. :) Thanks everyone.

Brad
