Well I eliminated muscle strain because the pain began immediately at
the first cycle of the pedals... I mean there wasn't even time for
any muscle strain to begin. In the years I did bicycle a great deal,
I learned what muscle strain was, and this wasnt anything like it. I
could describe it more like feeling as if I had liquid fire going
through an artery or down a nerve in the area where my legs join.
I also climbed on a excercise cycle in the workout room at work and
even with the wide seat I still felt the pain, although not near as
intensive because more of my weight was on my sit bones and less on
the area between them. In fact, I noticed that if I shifted my weight
entirely on my sit bones... kind of an unnatural riding position
leaning back, which put *all* weight on my sit bones, the pain
disappeared entirely.
Anyway, I decided to order a Hobson Easyseat. I figure it cant hurt
to try... they have a 30 day return policy. After the 30 days, I'll
post back here and give my opinion of the product and whether or not
it solved my problem :)
