Re: [Bicycle Commuting] Commuting on a Recumbent

Sounds like fun! I have a Bike E also. That was my first
recumbent. Is that 9 miles round trip. Mine is 8 miles one-way.
About once a month, I work a weekend. Usually, that's 12 straight
days of commuting. If it's windy, I get a little leg-weary.

Does anybody else commute on a recumbent? I'm sure enjoying mine. My ride is 8 miles, with only 2 traffic lights. A lot of the travel is on open rural road....

I sold my BikeE CT after two years of falling on the ice, in favor of a Sun EZ-TAD (tadpole trike, recumbent). My commute is only 9 miles daily, in light...

9 miles round trip. Occasionally 10, if I take the scenic route. But there is a hill! Once in a while I get a tail-wind...whee! ... TANSTAAFL...

I ride a lightning thunderbolt. I usually find some excuse to wimp out and motor in at least a couple days a week. I find that the 'bent limits my route...

Don't be too jealous, that Bachetta looks like a nice bike too. I test-road quite a few Bachettas at the local Bike Shop. I've found that bikes vary greatly...

I do. I have a Bacchetta Giro 20. My commute is short, only 3 miles, and hilly. To be honest, for the route I take, my Specialized Hard Rock is better. Too...

The Bents are nice for those long rides on the open road. I agree about the bad roads and bad drivers. It's a little easier to maneuver a DF, although...
