Bad back and cycling

Looks like I've slipped a disc in my ower back, sacrum area. Can I still cycle?
Is it a good idea? Its no more painful than walking, sitting, lying down etc
etc. Its all agonsing! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't making it all worse.
