I was talking with a member of the executive board of the ISSF back in September
about  the Beijing Olympiad and summer biathlon. He said that if summer biathlon
was under the ISSF instead of the IBU it could become an official Olympic summer
sport. He said the IOC didn't want the same international organization (IBU)
governing a sport in both summer and winter games. Then you wouldn't need to
learn to use that sword.

In the pentathlon, they are combining the running and shooting into a
summer biathlon, rather than holding them individually. Hoover, get
