This really sounds great. Is this an "official" USBA championship, or something
devised by
the club? I am new to biathlon, but have heard a number of negative comments
about the
USBA and their attitude towards club and non-national caliber athletes. This
seems like it
would be a great place to start rebuilding the grassroots club system.

While I am not personally involved with the event, I am pretty sure this is one of those "We will sanction you if you do all the work to make it happen"...

Face it, if you are a club racer, USBA considers you nothing more than an annual $50 contribution so the fat cats can hobnob with the Europeans at the World...
