I agree with the above. I did give the Rest Stop a couple of trys after Larry and Yvonne sold it but I wasn't impressed with Greg. I wasn't treated very well which left a sour taste in my mouth. When he kicked the Bike Hiker and Wheelmen gear out of his store I decided not to set foot in there again. I'm sure many others decided the same. Not nice to kick 1000-1500 customer base bye bye. Larry and Yvonne did a lot for the cycling community and cyclists at large when they had the store. If Greg had continued that to some degree he might not be closing the store now.

I do not agree with Tim that buying the store now would be a good idea. The time to have bought it was when Larry and Yvonne was selling it. Now that the customer base has dwindled and the reputation tarnished it would be better to start fresh.
Steve

I agree. I think one of the reason's I fell in love with cycling to begin with was the feeling I got from members of the cycling community. Larry and Yvonne...

I've told this story many times, but I bought my first pair of cycling shorts at The Rest Stop, from Larry! I returned to the store after Greg bought it and ...
