Having problems with message search?
IMHO, Larry & Yvonne were The Rest Stop. Greg didn't do anything to integrate himself into the cycling community like they did. Plus the 'hip' places to go now are the Bicycle Kitchen and the Bicycle Chef. And the club clothing is available at the Bicycle Chef.

I think he lost return customers due to his alienation of clubs like the bike hikers and wheelman. I know when I'd go there in the past for club items I'd buy store items as well. Maybe the lack of club members coming in cost him some money. On top of that the whole idea of removing the club items was to free up space for merchandise. Merchandise that now had fewer people walking into the store to see. This on top of other poor decisions (in my opinion) most likely contributed to this situation. It's a shame if you ask me. If I had the money I'd buy the rights to the store and continue it. However, I'd put a full maintenance area in the shop as money from labor is just produced from sweat. Not product less overhead.

And I travel to The Rest Stop to purchase most, but not ALL, of my bicycle products.So why is The Rest Stop is going out of business?Please, let's open a discussion, without getting nasty, into why this shop is closing.
