Hi Bike Friday South Africa members,
I have always ridden the argus in my normal seeded group. Haven't thought that
riding at the front of the race in a small group would benefit me at all.
However, riding is no longer about getting the best possible time. After an
enquiry from Clive I have thought that it won't hurt to lobby Cycletour to bring
back the "unconventional" category to anything that isn't a standard racing or
mountain bike.
I have ridden pleasant Argus'es starting slowly and being picked up by a faster
group, rather then trying to stay with my original bunch. So I would give
starting in unconventional shot.
Your opinions?
