Any mechanic can fix your bike. The only issue I ever run into is that local bike shops can't get Capreo cassettes, so I have to order that from bike friday (or one of the other very small number of specialty shops), and then either install it myself or bring it (and the special tool) to the bike shop.
I brought my bike Samammish valley cycle a couple of years ago and they didn't do a good job (in spite of the fact they have a good reputation and have done well on other bikes). I should have suspected, because this particular employee didn't seem to want to work on my BF.
I was going to try folding bikes NW in ballard, but I got on their website and found that they're apparently booked till labor day, so I'm currently looking at other bike shops & waiting for my new Capreo to come in the mail.

Subject: [bfclubseattle] Recommendations for BF mechanic in SeattleHello group,
I haven't had any service work done on my Pocket Llama, but now I am in need because my Sram twister shifter is broken. Does anyone have any recommendations for a bike mechanic in Seattle that loves BFridays? Or - I suppose that any mechanic can handle a problem like a shifter. Is that correct?
Thanks for any responses.
