Since I'm new to the group I'm somewhat relucatant to take on any organization, especially since I don't know what level would be suitable for the group, or even generally where people live. I'm assuming that to be inclusive, we should organize a relatively short, moderate pace ride in a reasonably central location.
If everyone who is interested sends me their general location (eg, n. seattle, kent, redmond etc), what a reasonable distance for you would be (including how averse to hills you are), any route ideas you have, what days are good for you, what time of day works best, I would be willing to try to put something together that worked for everyone (or at least most everyone).
Here is my info:
I live in N Seattle, near sand point, my frequent rides are:
North end of the lake
South end of the lake
Seward park out & back.
Edmonds loop
Alki out & back.
Duwamish/green river - interurban loop
I'm up for anything from 20-80mi and I don't mind hills at all.
My typical pace is 14-16 on the flat.
I'm available most any day
I prefer not to ride early in the morning.

Hi all:
Welcome to all the new members! I hope that you're all getting out
to ride! I've finally finished physical therapy on my knee and am
now riding again. :-)
Heads up a couple of items:
1) Help needed for group rides: I gather that many folks would
like to get together for a group ride, but for many reasons, I
haven't set up anything. Would anyone be interested in organizing a
group ride? Feedback on where the ride should be and how long would
also help planning! Thoughts? Takers?
2) Lynette said that the BF folks will be in Seattle for the LPA

Would folks be interested in a group ride on either June 30 or July
1, somewhat in conjunction with the LPA conference? The conference
is being held at a hotel near SeaTac airport. Dan Okenfuss from LPA
(picture on the BF website) said that the main conference activity
is probably going to be July 3-5, and conference attendees will
probably too busy to do a bike ride during the week. There will be
folks from BF manning a booth at the LPA conference.
3) Would there be any interest in a non-riding get together such as
a potluck? I was thinking it would be fun to have Lynette, Walter
or some of the other BF folks attend on a trek north (maybe in
conjunction with the LPA conference or not), maybe we can ask
Lynette to give a presentation on her latest adventures!
