Sorry about your conflict, but be prepared to deal with it a couple of years more. My daughter just turned 20 and still has the same attitude! :-) I do see some improvement lately (since she move out on her own). My daughter has the same attitude about riding a bicycle too, although she did mention just recently that she intends to collect her bike one of these days.
Anyway, yes our rides are normally scheduled for the second Saturday of the month. Also, the ride at the beginning of each quarter (Jan, April, July & Oct.) are easy rides (normally around Mission Bay) to encourage beginners to come out. The other months may contain longer/hillier rides for those Bike Friday owners that want more of a challenge.
And lastly, we don't care if your Bike Friday is new or used, or even if you don't own one yet! As long as you are interested in Bike Fridays you are welcome to join us. Come on out when you get the chance. I try to post ride notices about 10 days before the event, but as you can see this month, I don't always succeed! :-)

Hi,
I am a new BF owner and rider, actually if you are into semantics my BF is a Pocket Rocket I got on Ebay so it isn't new but I am new to BF so it is sort of the same difference, I guess.
Anyway, as luck would have it, I can't make this ride because my daughter over scheduled me. She thinks the sun, moon and universe revolve around her for some reason (she is 15, maybe that is it). I did suggest she come ride with me, that got a lot of laughs.....
I was wondering if you generally try to plan rides on like the second Saturday of the month or something along those lines. That way I will just block out a specific time and give her lots of warning that she will just have to wait her turn.......that will be interesting, very interesting indeed......hahahahaha
Thanks, looking forward to joining up with you, sure sounds like a fun group,
Sincerely,
