Well, you've probably all seen this little clip, but it's cool to be selected in this festival, probably the most promoted at this time.
About time folding bikes got a bit of exposure at film fests!
Unfortunately I can't be there - am organizing a little 'mini sustainability symposium' on May 29 in Sydney http://www.bikefriday.com/events/burncarbsnothydrocarbs
I hope you all turn up to the Festival in my place, with your Fridays (and other folders)
May 28-June 1, NYC
Here is the festival - they never picked any of my other films before http://www.galfromdownunder..com/talks - too long and angst-ridden I guess :o)
Now I just have to work out how to do the mini DV tape thing ...
Lynette Chiang,
It’s with great excitement that I write to inform you that your film,
Round Up Fast Fold Showdown, has been selected for the 2008 New York City
Bicycle Film Festival. Congratulations! We had hundreds of submissions
this year and the quality and diversity is better than ever. Our program
this year is going to be great!
We are already receiving media inquiries so it is essential that you can
e-mail us 2-4 high resolution images (300 dpi), preferably with bikes in
the picture. We need all photos by May 1. Please e-mail photos to:
We also require a high quality mini DV tape (NTSC) copy of your film by
May 1 by the very latest. I know for our PAL system entrants this can be a
problem. Let me know if this is going to be difficult.
Please send the mini DV tape to:

Thanks so much for your submission. In June we will be selecting films for
programs in the remaining 16 cities the Bicycle Film Festival will travel
to. You can sign up for updates for the BFF on our website. And if you are
planning on coming to the festival in person, please let me know so we can
meet face to face!
