Karl,
I'm coming to your 5.45pm show tonight. Even though I don't have kids! Anyone else game?
45 Bleecker St (At Lafayette), 5.45 pm, 1 hour. Eat after.
Very cool of you, Karl, to post both reviews. A person of substance you are. Inspires me to reveal yet another someone who hated me and my book ..
She calls me phony! Oh if only, my life would seem so much easier ... just like the Tiffany-esque lives of my wonderful BF customers ...
UPDATE: I really screwed up my spendy STI shifters with that Robinson Crusoe trick. Last night I pedaled David Lam's shop on his BROMPTON to retrieve it. He'd found a used Ultegra right shifter in his dragon's lair of castoffs (did you know that 99% of the stuff in his tiny bike shop he got off the street - er, not the bikes, the fittings?) which works fine, and now I can ride it again. An expensive mistake! The Brompton was OK, installed with a strange horseshoe shaped seat that's supposed to save your nether regions ...
He also sells a new Planet Bike rear light that has a strobe - piercingly bright. I got one, you should too.
UPCOMING RIDES ...
SAT AUG 18: BROOKLYN SOJOURN: I might do this one from the 5bbc ...
9AM, City Hall, 40 miles
Electric cars aren’t new. Beautiful brownstones not in the expected neighborhoods. Nothing weak about Weeksville. Lunch at Sheepshead Bay, and a piece of Brooklyn Dodger history. Maybe more stops in a Brooklyn Sojourn. Bring a lock and $ for lunch. Moderate pace. Leaders Ed DeFreitas and others.
SUNDAY AUG 19: TOUR OF THE HAMPTONS (Thanks Joey)
The leisurely Sunday beach rides appear to be offered throughout summer by the 5bbc too. Go join the 5bbc.
TUESDAYS in AUG: Morning laps in Central Park: I might grovel to the NYCC to be allowed on this, as long as they don't take exception to my little wheels and me not being a member :o) B17, 24 miles, 05:45 AM.
Any others, please post here.
