=> Subject: THE ROUND*UP small wheel/folder bike fest in PHILLY

Greetings -- just a note to remind all that the ROUND*UP USA
small wheel and folder fest returns to Philadelphia this June
4-5-6, 2004. All events are free and open to the public. (Those
riding must register and etc. SMALL WHEEL FOLDER BIKES needed)
All events start/finish at Trophy Bikes unless noted. Trophy
is at 3131 Walnut St., just west of Central Philadelphia,
2 min. from 30th St. Station. Tel is 215.222.2020.

It's "3 days to explore the compact bicycle universe", with
test rides and demos of new models from Brompton (the new long
wheelbase bikes), Breezer, Birdy (their new US distributor is
taking part, Swift Folder (the long-awaited Swift II frame
design prototype will be there, along with inventor Peter
Reich), Dahon (the new Jetstream XP), Bilenky (Steve Bilenky
will demonstrate the Tinker Tandem), Strida, Moulton (look for
the New Series and--maybe--the Bridgestone Moulton), Airnimal,
Koga Miyata (the new Founder-S model) and much more.

Speakers planned include: Doug Milliken--Moulton expert, whose
Streamliner Moultons set several important bicycle speed
records. Steve Bilenky--master framebuilder and S+S coupler
specialist. Len Rubin -- his titanium folder stretches the
limits of the bicycle. Peter Reich--designer and re-designer of
the Swift Folder. Lynette Chiang--she's boldly gone where no
Bike Fridays have gone before--she'll be recounting her Mexican
Odyssey on Saturday night, with slide accompaniment. Gilbert
Anderson--Paris Brest-Paris veteran and Moulton "lifer" tells
why Sir Alex rules. Karl Ulrich--the inventor of the Xootr urban
scooter discusses the missing link between the Xootr and the
Brompton. --And there may be others..

FRIDAY--
demos, ad hoc discussions, night ride.

SATURDAY --
7am -- See small wheel bikes take part in the Lance Armstrong
Time Trials, West River Drive at the Art Museum.
9 am reception and coffee at Trophy Bikes.
10am--Noon: Folder Forums... discussions and workshops with
small wheel/folder expert speakers.
1:30 -- Bike on rail to Valley Forge, return via River Bike Path
8pm -- Lynette Chiang -- Mexico by Friday, slide presentation
and story session. LOCATION TBA

SUNDAY
8am -- coffee, then
8:30AM
FOLDER FLOTILLA to
8:45 --start of US PRO CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP BIKE RACE, Logan
Circle at Ben Franklin Parkway.

10am --Noon. Folder Forums continue at Trophy Bikes.
1:30pm, visit Lemon Hill, catch end of US PRO RACE.
3pm --FAST FOLD COMPETITION -- Art Museum Steps.

5pm Official Closing and drinks for stragglers.
