Hello all.
I've owned an Air glide for about three years now. The first year I did the Rhine from Andermatt to the Dutch border, and the Moselle from Koblenz to Luxembourg and on to the North Sea. Last year my brother and I did the Moselle from Metz up to Koblenz and up to Strasbourg. These were unsupported, private tours. The bikeways along those rivers are terrific, by the way. I then flew to Ireland to do a commercial tour with some friends.
This summer, in about a week, I'm heading with a friend (on a Crusoe) to the Loire Valley for a couple of weeks, Orleans to the Atlantic. After that I'm training to either Grenoble or Geneve and heading for the sea (Mediterranean). Again, all unsupported.
I've been touring like this almost every year since the seventies. I also worked many years for a bike touring company and know the continent pretty well.
I rode a Trek touring frame for many, many years and it was a wonderful bike but a few weeks after I got the Air Glide I gave the Trek away.
