Dahon told me there is no way to actually lock their bikes!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #8 of 10 |
I recently purchased a Dahon D7 and loved it.

About a week or so later it was stolen despite a $100 Kryptonite
lock . dahon gave me this message:

"Unfortunately, there isn't any special locking instructions to
secure our bikes out doors and unfortunately, there is no lock
truly safe. We recommend our customers to get our Double Play
carry bag (http://www.dahon.com/b-doubleplay.htm) instead of a
lock, for the best way
to keep thefts away is taking you bike with you at all times.

We hope you can get your bike back."

Certainly they should have given this information before
purchase and to send me this information now is hurtful.
Especially in nyc.

I just want to alert people to this issue. Sincerely,

Marc Rosenblatt Nyc
