I noticed that there were two suspect members who asked to join the BF Club of
Davis
YAHOO group. They're usually people who have a rather complicated email address
eg
julie668@... and more importantly, don't leave any message saying
who
they are or why they want to join.

So I banned them. Just ignore any pending members who look like this - with no
message
or a wierd email.

With great sadness I just heard that Don Aumann died suddenly, who hosted me in
Davis.

Nice to get your announcement of Cycle Oregon. It's a ride my husband Don was
talking of
doing someday on our Friday tandem, or perhaps on two Friday singles, if I got
one in the
future. Unfortunately, that will never come to pass for him – he fell ill
earlier this month
and died unexpectedly on March 9. For more details, you can go to http://

We have such fond memories of hosting you in Davis when you were here to demo
some
bikes a few years ago. Our kids (14 and 11) are now able to ride the tandem on
their own –
what a kick! – and we hope to get inspired once again to go out for a ride. In
the back of
my mind is the question of what to do with Don's Pocket Rocket Pro – it might
fit Peter in
the not-so-distant future, or perhaps it could be adapted to fit me. We'll
explore that
later, but I want you to know how much Don enjoyed this bike and the freedom he
felt in
cycling (see attached photo).
